"Think about one thing you held back on doing and start doing it today!"
- Demi Lovato
As I read the goal for this day I thought... well what've you been holding back? So I came up with four simple things (from very to less important):
1) healthy living
So my main goal is to live healthy and maybe sing, dance and write. :)
"Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after that, fear has no power."
- Jim Morrison
This one was incredibly hard for me as I've struggled so much with my deepest fear this past year that I didn't want to get through that all over again. But as the goal doesn't say "keep thinking about your biggest fear" but "Make sure you aren't living out your fears but releasing them." I'm all good :)
I've written down what my biggest fear is and instead of writing down why I'm fearing that I've written down what I can do against my fear:
"Be mindful of the tone of your thoughts."
- Demi Lovato
The task of January 7th was one of the hardest for me. I've never really been self-confident and it was always too easy to see everything just black and white. If I had any problem everything would just be bad and everyone would hate me and no one would understand me... I THOUGHT!
In reality I was my biggest enemie and my thoughts brought me down more than anything someone else would do or say.
So this is something I should probably take as a life motto same as Demi's motto on this page:
"Change your thoughts, change your life."
I made a list with all those things I was insecure about. Thoughts that would come rushing to me when something would go wrong. And then I wrote down on the other side why these thoughts are not true :)
My result was that my mantra from January 1st is the most thng I should tell myself every day:
Being the way that you are is enough. There's nothing wrong with who you are.
"Love is the answer."
- England Dan and John Ford Coley
When I first read the goal to think about the people you love and care about and tell them I laughed and said that's ridiculous... the people I care about know I love them. I don't have to write down their names and think about what I can give to show I love them.
But as I said to myself in the beginning of this year I'm going to do every single thing that is in Demi's book I gave it a try and hugged my fam telling them how much I love them.
Then I wrote down who's important to me and wrote down why. Many of my friends aren't living close to me anymore as we all graduated last year. So I photographed what I wrote down there and send it to the people I love and care about. I've got some really great responses that flattered me and cheered me up like nothing else ever could. Best.Feeling.Ever.
"Evaluate all your relationshipsand weed out the negative ones."
- Demi Lovato
I read this page and knew this will be a wake up call.
So I wrote down the friendships where not only I am giving but the others also ask how I am and care about me. There were 7 people. No more. Except my fam but I left them aside. That was quite frustrating but at the end of the day it doesn't matter how many good friends you have but it's important you can fully trust them :)
Welcome to the club. Sit back, drink a cup of tea and enjoy what comes out of my crazy little head :D
