YESSS WE DID IT! Germany is FINALLY World Cup Winner again! It took us 24 years to get to this point again.
But it was as if someone planned everything out. 1954, 1974, 1990, 2014... See the regularity? ;)
And it truly was hoping and trembling until the 113th minute if I'm not mistaken.
Then Mario Götze (is the reason I actually started to watch football a few years ago) did his magic and shot the only goal of the match. My tip was a 4:2 win for Germany btw. :'D
But there were so many outstanding players at this year's World Cup in the German team.
Think about Thomas Müller who isn't only a brilliant player but also has an incredibly funny personality (hint: an interview after they won).
Or Mats Hummels and Jerome Boateng who did a great job defending the goal.
Talking about goals.... what an amazing World Cup wad that for Manuel Neuer?!? The Best Keeper trophy was really well-deserved! Think back to the game against Algeria where Neuer was basically the only one ACTUALLY playing, running, defending for 90mins straight.
After the game soo many celebrities posted pictures and congratulated the team like Olly Murs for example, who even travelled to Rio for the final. Also Joe and Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Andreas Bourani, Tim Bendzko, David Henry, Grimmers and Little Mix congratulated our boys.
Last but not least One Direction's Niall Horan sent his congratulations out to the German team :)
Now have a good night...
Oleeeee oleee oleeee oleeeeeeee.....
It's time again.... for public viewing, beer, fans, cheering and so on and so on...
The World Cup 2014 started yesterday in Brazil with a 3:1 win for Brazil against Croatia (my tip by the way :D).
And if you should know one thing about me at the moment it is definitely that I'm turning into a huge football fan every four years in summer ;)
So yesterday's game... I have to be honest... I slept through the whole second half.... but... that doesn't matter. What's more important is... HOW ON EARTH DID BRAZIL MANAGE TO SCORE ITS OWN GOAL?
Anyway, today's games were a little more interesting as the Mexico - Cameroon game was a complete umpire-desaster with 2 not given goals and some fouls that didn't count. Well the 1:0 for Mexico was less than I expected (2:1 for Mexico).
Now what I can't believe was the second game of the day today.. How can it possibly be that Spain loses against The Netherlands - not a big deal so far - 1:5!!!!!!! BIG BIG DEAL! No one saw that coming for sure...
It's time for the third and last game of tonight... Chile - Australia which is also called secret favourite against absolute underdog... I'd love to root for Australia but let's keep it real here... Chile got their first two goals in not even the first 20 mins if I'm not mistaken. So my tip for that game... before it even started... was 3:0... let's see if this is really happening.. I think it'll much rather be a 5:0 win for Chile haha
What I'm looking forward to most is the Germany - Portugal match on Monday. Such a huge thing at the beginning of the World Cup... I'm so excited and got my fan equipment out already.
YESSSS GOAL FOR AUSTRALIA BTW ;)
So I'll keep watching the game now and wish you a good night :)
Welcome to the club. Sit back, drink a cup of tea and enjoy what comes out of my crazy little head :D
